Study in the UK without IELTS

Class X and XII English scores

Some universities often provide studying in the UK for Indian students after XII directly based on your score in XII standard only.
Studying in English medium school
If you had an opportunity to study in an English medium school, then you need to procure a letter of recommendation from your school/institution stating that you had an academic programme involving English language as the medium throughout. In such a situation, the IELTS criterion may be waived off if you have excellent scores.
Skype interview
Skype or telephonic interview is a common way to test your English skills. Many universities in the UK prefer to have an online interview with the candidate. Depending upon your skills and interview, if you manage to impress the university officials with your skills, then there is a high probability that they may waive off the IELTS criterion.
Study in the UK for a spouse
There are also provisions of having a UK marriage visa. It states that if you are married to a person who is already a UK resident, then his/her spouse can immigrate to the UK. Under such immigration, you are free to study in the UK as you get your visa granted. However, to study in the UK due to this criterion, your spouse must fulfil certain requirements such:
- Must be above 18 years.
- Must have a reasonable income to support oneself and your studies too.
- Must have a suitable residential place.
- Must be skilled in English.
- Must intend to live with you permanently.
Applying in universities that offer admission without IELTS
There are many universities in the UK that are ranked globally and do not put up the criteria for clearing IELTS. There are certain institute tie-ups with some of the universities who accept students without IELTS. Some of them are:
